Numark NS7 DJ Turntable Controller with Serato ITCH Software Review

Numark NS7 DJ Turntable Controller with Serato ITCH Software
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Coming from a turntable and vinyl background, I was and still am excited about this product. I purchased it and have been very content. The unit is about 35lbs. and VERY solid. I have to get use to scratching on it compared to turntables. The platter should have been made 9" but I'm taking it in stride. All crossfaders have a quality feel, no static and the scratch curves feel as good or better than my Rane TTM57sl.
My only complaint is that Numark did not future-proof this unit with effect buttons. I find the software (Serato iTch) and mixing is (CURRENTLY) a little more boring than Serato Scratchlive and my 57 mixer. Serato is supposedly working on effects and making iTch's software closer in features to Scratchlive.
I purchased the Numark case with the unit and REALLY love doing mobile gigs now. No more individual TT cases and mixer cases. No more RCA and ground wires and at least 15 minutes less setup time. I'm saving close to 70 lbs. in travel weight too. One bit of advice is to be wary of using PCs with this unit. I have a Unibody Macbook Pro 2.66Ghz but struggled making a Core2-Duo 2.2Ghz 4GB ram PC work "glitch-free" with the NS7 and iTch. It had quirky behavior while tracks were playing, random stops and various audio dropouts. Many PCs will (by default) have IRQ sharing which can hose up USB connectivity (the main source of NS7 communication to your laptop) if there are conflicts.
In troubleshooting, I had to insure bluetooth, anti-virus, firewalls, NIC cards, screen savers, wireless Network cards, on-board video and all sorts of services were disabled on the PC (a TOTAL administrative nightmare!) and still ended up having to run the latency at 5ms or greater for decent performance. My mic had major echo delay with this setting so enough was enough.
I purchased the MBPro and have not had a SINGLE glitch since. My latency is at 1ms AND I can run apps in the background while DJ'ing without problems. I highly recommend the NS7 (with adequately powered MAC) for any mobile DJ.

Designed in collaboration with Serato, the Numark NS7 DJ Turntable Controller combines an all-metal chassis with adjustable torque, motorized, aluminum-turntable platters, vinyl, and a professional audio interface to deliver a complete performance solution that will satisfy even the most hardcore turntablist.
It offers a full complement of premium faders, knobs, buttons and the new Strip Search virtual-needle-drop control, which integrates seamlessly with the included Serato ITCH software. The NS7 delivers hands-on control of every aspect of Serato ITCH and sends data to the software more than ten times faster than standard MIDI resolution. And because it was designed for ITCH, NS7 setup time is the bare minimum--no tweaking, no mapping; just plug and perform.
The NS7's dual decks flank the mixer section. Its recognizable, professional appearance is supported by clean design in matte and glossy black. The entire unit is housed in a heavy-gauge, industrial-strength metal casing that is ready for the torture of travel.
Key Features
High-resolution controller built for Serato ITCH and compatible with Scratch LIVE libraries
Direct-drive, motorized turntable platters with classic and modern feel settings
Includes Serato ITCH DJ software, fully pre-mapped
Audiophile-grade audio circuitry with mic and line inputs, system and cue outs
Extensive loop, cue, and track-access controls
Strip Search (patent pending) virtual-needle-drop control
Controls most MIDI applications without requiring a mouse or keyboard
Rugged, all-metal construction
High quality, replaceable, customizable CP-PRO crossfader and D-TYPE line faders
Support for Whitelabel.net files in ITCH
Mix using either 33 RPM or 45 RPM speeds

Perfect Feel The NS7 has two seven-inch, motorized, high-torque aluminum turntable platters, and the turntable controls feature modern and classic settings that alter the feel to model the feel you prefer. Seven-inch, legit vinyl records with 45 RPM adapters sit on real slipmats--no simulation.
Solid, rugged, rubberized buttons and knobs compliment a high precision, replaceable CP-PRO crossfader and D-TYPE line faders for an unquestionably high-quality feel. The CP-PRO digital-VCA crossfader has a solid feel that is smooth and rigid. Like the crossfader, the D-TYPE digital-VCA line faders are replaceable. The crossfader offers contour adjust and reverse adjustment, enabling you to customize its operation.
System Simplicity Forget the mouse and the keyboard. The NS7 renders ITCH software perfectly simple to operate, with its click knob and large, backlit buttons navigating though your music library. You'll spend less time looking at the screen and more time enjoying performing thanks to the visual feedback you get from NS7's more-than 100 LEDs and more-than 100 hands-on controls.
A single USB cable between NS7 and your Mac or PC is all you need to send audio and data back and forth. The NS7 has onboard audio outputs so it's the only piece of gear you need to connect to the PA system or powered speakers. It outputs 24-bit, 44.1 kHz digital audio to the sound system on XLRs and RCAs. The front panel contains mic input, RCA line input, and both 1/4" and 1/8" headphone outputs with volume control.
The NS7 comes with an integrated laptop stand that supplies safe, secure mounting for your laptop. You can use an ultra-small space because NS7 elevates your laptop off the table.
Precision Control The NS7 sends control information over USB at more than ten times the standard MIDI rate. This innovative communication technique yields extremely high-precision, low-latency control.
There's nothing like dropping the needle on a record for quickly locating a point in the track, and with Strip Search--the unique virtual-needle-drop touch strip--you can locate a point instantly within the track using the on-screen waveform
Five hot-cue-assign buttons on each deck digitally mark your cues on the track. These marker points are recallable in ITCH and Scratch LIVE, and you can load Scratch LIVE cue points in ITCH.
Each deck offers an extensive Serato-style loop section, and you can choose between manual and auto-loop functions and an automatic BPM analyzer further assists loop makers. Creating automatic smart loops of any measure length is a breeze, and you can mutilate and modify to heart's content with a variety of controls such as Doubling, Halving, Shift, and manual controls.
Audio Quality The NS7 contains a host of professional audio connectors and a multichannel, 24-bit USB digital-audio interface. The high-definition post-mix analog audio output features a minimized circuit path with containing only one audiophile-grade bipolar capacitor. This optimized design maximizes phase coherence, ensuring that audio is tight and punchy.
Serato ITCH Software IF you use Scratch LIVE, you'll become quickly familiar with Serato ITCH. Because ITCH doesn't require a timecode interface, your system can be as simple as, say, NS7 and your computer. Since ITCH makes timecode a thing of the past, you won't need to worry about needles skipping or vinyl wearing out. You can load your Scratch LIVE crates, loops, presets, and cue points seamlessly in ITCH. The NS7 also works with most other MIDI DJ software and supports iTunes.
ITCH handles audio processing and mixing including channel fading, EQ, crossfading and track trim are processed for outstanding control and management of your tracks, ease of recording your set, clip-proof gain management, and BPM calculation using the power of your computer's processor.
The History function in ITCH keeps a comprehensive record of every track played and exports sessions from your history to 'txt', 'csv', or 'm3u'. ITCH also has a Loop Roll function that provides a looping effect where the playhead jumps back to normal time when you release the loop. Built-in key support ensures that ITCH reads key tags from MP3 files and displays them in the 'key' column in your library.

Hercules DJ Control Steel Review

Hercules DJ Control Steel
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I love my Hercules RMX, but as my shows are getting bigger I'm starting to produce some of my music and using more effects so I switched to the Steel. I love this mixer as I can program up to 12 effects and works great as a video mixer without paying the $6 grand for the pioneer. If I get that big, maybe I will cough up the money for the pioneer, for now this is under $250 and works great. I may one day get an effects controller to plug into my denon, for now this is the best of both worlds.

Numark Total Control USB MIDI DJ Software Controller Review

Numark Total Control USB MIDI DJ Software Controller
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I use Ableton Live 7 on my PC to make music, and was ready to give djing a try. I was stoked to be able to get a "complete dj" setup for relatively cheap from Guitar Center. When I opened the box, the first thing I noticed was that it was missing the usb cable for the device... so I had to use a spare midi controller cable.
Next I installed Cue LE 5. After entering the activation code and seeing the device being installed in windows (the hardware ready to use balloon on bottom right) I clicked on the Cue LE 5 icon and a message popped up stating: "The controller has not been detected. Please plug in the controller and start Cue again."
I decided I didnt want the hassle and installed the other dj software, Traktor LE 3. The device worked fine, with the exception of some sensitivity issues with pitch control. And I discovered this djing thing was fun! However the Traktor LE software is a bit crippled, so I decided I wanted to try to use the Cue LE 5 software for the looping function (trakor le limits you to just a four beat loop)
But I couldn't get Cue to detect the total control. Searching the virtualdj.com forum, I found many other users having the same problem.
Just google this; "The controller has not been detected". Please plug in the controller and start Cue again
The only help out there was from other frustrated users. Some suggested firmware updates (Numark removed the download link from their site but left update instructions...? turns out this would have broken the Total Control). Some discussed changing IRQ settings(?). Some discussed Cue software updates. But absolutely no official help or troubleshooting instructions from Numark or virtualdj. Nothing helped. Finally I emailed Numark tech support, who wrote back to call. After a combined hour on hold, I spoke with a tech support rep who explained that Numark ships Cue LE 5 with a couple other controllers besides the Total Control. As it turns out, the activation number on the back of the Cue LE CD is actually specific to each device, effectively telling the Cue LE software what device to expect given the entered activation number. So when Numark includes the wrong activation code for your device and software along with your controller, it wont work because its looking for a different controller. (I think they could be more clear with the error message)
I relayed this information to other users on virtualdj.com, since I would have liked to have known the cause of this issue before my hours of troubleshooting and web searching. And the post was removed. Twice! That has been the most frustrating part of this whole experience. That and the fact that the service rep has yet to email me the correct activation code for the product I purchased...
I don't do much reviewing. I'm honestly too lazy. But the poor quality control, lack of online help, horrible support, and CENSORSHIP(!?) for revealing those short comings has motivated me to speak up. Hopefully Numark and virtualdj clean up their act. But for now buy something else that works.

NUMARK CD Mix 1 DJ Package Review

NUMARK CD Mix 1 DJ Package
Average Reviews:

I am a professional mobile DJ and I used the CD-Mix1 for about a year at least once a week on professional gigs (weddings, parties, etc.) and would definitely recommend it either for the beginning mobile DJ or as a reliable backup system. It does not have any of the features of most advanced CD players today, but it always got the job done and never faultered in operation. I would not recommend this to the club DJ who requires lots of effects and "toys", but it is a solid cd player/mixer at a reasonable price.

Behringer DDM4000 DJ Mixer Review

Behringer DDM4000 DJ Mixer
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I've been doing studio work for several years now and
I was scared to buy this mixer, because of the name Behringer.
I checked it out at Sam Ash and guitar center for several weeks,
and I was still hesitant.
On microphone input it has 3 band EQs, compressors/limiter Noise gate,
Talk on (Music ducking) reverb, Pitch, Echo and a list that runs a mile long.
The line input has beat counter that syncs to the build in effects echo, reverb, Pitch, This is great for reggae and club music.
Some of the other features are the 32 Second Sampler, Crossover, sub- output, and enhancer, S/PDIF, MIDI in and out and it comes with rack ears. This mixer should cost thousands of dollars for what it can do.
I'm currently trying to set up the Midi control commands for Serato and apple Logic pro.
I used to be scared of Behringer, but after seeing this mixer, I'm checking out all their products with a different view.

The DDM4000 is a state-of-the-art 32-bit digital DJ mixer, jam-packed with creative tools, yet its intuitive layout will let you feel at home in an instant. Editing, storing and recalling your settings is simply a breeze! Hook up your turntables and CD/MP3 players to its 4 stereo channels, each with fully programmable EQ and Kill switches. Put ultimate versatility at your fingertips with fully programmable beat-sync'able multi-FX modules, a pair of high-precision BPM counters and a digital crossfader with custom curve adjustment. And the super-cool BPM-sync'd sampler with real-time pitch control, loop and reverse functions will make your crowd go wild.

Choose Your Channel The DDM4000 struts 5 independent channels. Channels 1-4 are crossfader-assignable stereo channels, suitable for both vinyl and CD decks, and have appropriate phono/line level toggle switches at the input. All channels feature 3-band digital EQs with up to 12 dB of boost and infinite cut option, or "kill." Any channel can be monitored directly via headphones thanks to the PFL switch above the fader.
A dedicated Mic channel is provided in mono, with 2 XLR mic inputs. The vocal channel features a special "talk" feature that attenuates the volume of the other 4 channels, ensuring you will be heard over the music. The Mic channel also has its own FX section that can be applied with a single button.
Cross My Heart The core functionality of any DJ mixer lays in its crossfader. The DDM4000's crossfader can be assigned to any of channels 1-4, and sports a 3-band EQ kill button on either side. The curve sensitivity of the crossfader is adjustable, and in the unlikely event that you wear it out, the crossfader itself is replaceable.
Step Up Your Sampling The DDM4000's BPM-synced sampler is a sought-after addition. The sampler allows you to record a segment of incoming audio and loop it continuously without dropping the beat. Once your track is looping from the sampler, you can swap discs and queue up new tracks and mix them back in. The transition is seamless!
Effects The DDM4000 features a stunning dual FX section that includes our patented BPM counting technology. This allows the mixer to read/display the BPM of 2 different inputs and to apply BPM-synchronized effects, such as an echo synced to the beat of the music. Effects such as bitcrusher, reverb, delay, pitch shift, and more are available, and can be assigned independently to multiple channels.
The DDM4000 is ideal for a club owner who has multiple working DJs performing on a recurring basis. User preferences like fader curve, FX settings, EQ, kill frequencies, etc., can all be set to various user accounts and recalled instantly. This feature can eliminate setup time between DJs altogether!
Swimming Upstream When you combine the DDM4000's digital operation with MIDI functionality, the door to creative applications opens REALLY wide. For example, the mixer can be used as a MIDI controller for your favorite DJ software--or whatever else you like! Channel faders, EQ knobs, and button presses can all be configured to send customized MIDI data. The possibilities here are quite endless.

ION Audio iCUE3 Discover DJ System Review

ION Audio iCUE3 Discover DJ System
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I've had the ION Discover DJ for about a week now and it's been a great MIDI DJ controller so far. It's highly usable with just the right amount of controls for basic mixing and scratching. For being mostly plastic, the device feels well built - with the knobs and buttons twisting/clicking solidly. The crossfader has a metal stem with a removable cap(!), and cuts smoothly.
The jogs are awesomely functional. They are touch sensitive (i can hold the unit upside down and activate the platters). They are also as smooth as butter, and amazingly sensitive when it comes to their scratch performance. The current packed-in software (Mixvibes Cross LE) is great for beginners/intermediate djs, even some pros might prefer it. But the great thing about the Discover DJ is that it's also a MIDI device that can be used with any dj software that supports a midi controller (NI Traktor, Virtual DJ, Mixxx, DJay, and others), with a bit of mapping. As either a beginner system or a backup for a pro, i think the unit is awesome for the price. no bells and whistles, just the basics with great jog wheels. I let my nieces and nephews scratch away on it, not worrying about it getting damaged. I plan on attaching guitar strap locks to it, so i can hang it around my neck and play it like a guitar.
Also for best results with audio performance, one should use an external audio interface with the Discover DJ (it doesn't include one - it's only a controller). If one has to use their computer's onboard audio, download ASIO4all (Windows only) for best performance.

SKB Studio Flyer Portable Laptop Studio Rack Review

SKB Studio Flyer Portable Laptop Studio Rack
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Happy with it, but mine has one wheel that's got a little friction because the plastic mold isn't perfect on one side. (Lots of little plastic imperfections, but you'll get over that.) Kept it since it still basically rolls. Unlike the top cover, the front and back covers are hinged and don't come off, which is OK, but means is can't stack on another rack. The front really isn't ideal for a mouse pad since you have set it on something to keep the cover from opening up the whole way. The velcro pieces that hold the computer in place don't feel as secure as I'd like, but it seems to work. Still I use it, and it's convenient, especially the way the cables go through holes to connect the computer.
Technically it should be a carry-on size, but some airlines weight the carry-ons now, and with any gear in it, it's likely to be overweight if they weight it. Also, with the hard edges, it usually doesn't quite fit without turning it in many overhead compartments. Again, I've used it on a couple trips just fine so far but I think I'll get more use out of it for local gigs. I wouldn't ever want to check it with any rack gear, though I'd bet the computer would fare fine if done.

The SKB Studio Flyer Portable Laptop Studio Rack is the perfect solution for housing your mobile recording studio. Numark Premium Cartridge Review

Numark Premium Cartridge
Average Reviews:

I do a good bit of djing records, and the needles I got with my Gemini turntables were starting to get tired. I wanted a good needle that'll play my records and play them well. I was considering getting new headshells and cartridges, but then I saw these needles. The price was great, and it's an all in one unit - styli and integral headshell. As soon as I got them I put them on my turntables and heard nothing but pure bliss. I adjusted my counterweights slightly to accomodate the weight of the needles, and played some more records. I am extremely happy with these, and recommend them to anyone who wants a good all in one headshell, or even djs who want to scratch. They're definitely strong enough for back cueing as well.

Gemini DJ MRC-6 DJ Mixer Case Review

Gemini DJ MRC-6 DJ Mixer Case
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
To make a complete sysytem, this holds all i need in one small (heavy) package. Laptop stand on the back, DMX controller, 4u mixer, 2u CD player all on the top. 2u Amp, 2u CD player base, and a power outlet 1u rack fit in front with room to store stuff like cords. The handles support a lot of weight, and the corners are protective. The front and rear cover stay on with Velcrow, but are tight. The lid is low profile and had a cheap clip style latch that comes open. I prefer butterfly latches. Everything fits well inside and lines up well. It was good for the price.

Korg Kaossilator Dynamic Phrase Synthesizer Review

Korg Kaossilator Dynamic Phrase Synthesizer
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Ok, so this thing is kind of a toy, but my oh my, what a toy it is. I'm absolutely in love with. I'm kind of an acoustic musician. I play acoustic guitar (don't even own an electric) and upright bass, and any other box of sound I can get my hands on. Most synths and whatnot never seemed worth my money. I saw this little guy when I went searching for something I could use with special-needs students. I wanted something you could produce sound on without needing to know anything about playing an instrument. The price was right, so I got it, and the kids have loved it. I first thought it was a nice toy for the classroom, but then I started practicing on it myself, and I just couldn't believe how involved you can get with it. Once you unlock the little loop extender (from 8 beats to 16- you can find the trick on Korg's website) you can really get inventive. Anyway, for those thinking about it, whether or not you're experienced in music, it's a whole lot of fun and it can be very expressive. I'm feeling like I'm getting solid enough at it that I'm going to hook it up to a PA and play with a jam band. I'm even trying to scrap some cash together to get the KORG KAOSS Pad Dynamic Effects Processor so I can really get lost. You can hook the yellow guy into the red guy and get a whole new level of groove. Here are my pros and cons that might help you decide if it's for you...
PROS)
1)With the arpeggiator and the 16 beat code, mixed with sound effect parameters, you can find nearly endless amounts of new rythms to work with. If you feel like you hit the end of what you can do on it, you are just on a temporary plateau; more will come.
2) With some fancy rechargable batteries, this thing seems to just go on and on. It's so portable, I have it on me nearly at all times. I look like a geek with my studio headphones on tripping out on a campus bench all by myself, but I'm already married with a kid, so I'm more interested in my groove then looking cool.
3) With a little work, it's practically the easiest drum machine out there. You have some limits on actual drum sounds, but it is just so easy to set a groove, put it down, and pick up another instrument to play along with.
4)It's very versatile and intuitive to use. My students, who are fairly low functioning, have a great time playing along, and even my two year old likes tapping on the trackpad to a beat. It's fun for most folks.
5) The versatility of the programmed scales, ranging from arabic and mixolodeian to ragas and dorian, seem to express any, and I mean any emotion you want it to emit. With some practice, you can seemingly get any hard-to-express scence. It's like painting pastoral scences across the cultures of the world with your index finger. It's like Bob Ross' and Rick Steves' impossible love child singing you to sleep every night. (please, somebody get that joke).
Ok, now the CONS
1) The 100 loops and sounds programmed on here are mostly aggresive dance kind of sounds. I'm a ambient kind of guy, and like I said before, I like my acoustic sounds. They're are hardly any great acoustic sounds on here, and if I could reprogram it a little, I'd put on some Mellotron sounds, like flute and strings, and other more organic stuff. The strings and whatnot on here are pretty cheesy. The piano ain't bad, though, and that gets points.
2) You CANNOT program anything onto it. You got your 100 sounds and that's it. It gives the K it's own signature sound, which is fine because it's cheap and kind of a toy. If I could have uploaded new sounds or samples, I would have peed my pants with excitement. Unfortunately, I sit here continent and limited.
3) This last one is my biggest complaint, and it would have been great if Korg had thought this out. It's a small thing, too Maybe they'll read this, see my genius, and send me a corrected version of their device.
This "small thing" it lacks is the only thing that makes this device a toy for me. Otherwise I would have considered it the neatest gizmo ever. You CANNOT adjust the volume of individual sounds in your loop. Say you lay a fat drum beat and a chunky bass line. You go over to the sound effect pad to add a little hiss or sizzle, or over to the chunky lead synth pads to add a hint of a melody in the background. Often times, there is no putting it in the background. You're stuck with the volume that goes in. The Korg folks boast that you can just keep adding stuff, but I've found after 4 or 5 elements, you get really noisy loops really fast. I would have liked another button that would have let you adjust the master volume of any sound you were adding. The way around this is to use a multitrack recorder and set your loops up into that, but now your portability is gone, not to mention that instantneous groove element. Even if your multitrack is a small one, now you're running wires instead of just your headphones.
Otherwise, I think of this yellow box like the Game Boy invented for music geeks like me. It's really nice, and in the two months I've had it, it's been a nice retreat from my daily grind.
Hope this helps!

Meet your new musical addiction: the KAOSSILATOR from Korg. Play it alone or add it to your rig for over-the-top, music-making mayhem. The KAOSSILATOR's user-friendly touch-pad lets you create musical and rhythmic phrases using any of its 100 synth programs, such as leads, basses, realistic instrument sounds, playable drums and drum patterns. Each time you add a phrase, KAOSSILATOR stacks it on top of the previous phrases you created. The results are as simple--or complex--as you desire. Choose from the 31 available scales, and play in any key. Lay down your groove with any 50 gate-arpeggiator patterns for even more KAOSS! The portable, travel-friendly KAOSSILATOR runs on batteries or a 4.5v adapter. Use the it as a multi-instrumental musical instrument, sample source, live rig addition, or just a fun way to get your groove on!

100 Playable Synth ProgramsThe KAOSSILATOR offers 100 unique patches for you to play, from nautral instruments to synth basses and leads, including ten drum patterns and 31 musical patterns. Sounds include:
Preset drum/bass grooves with flexible effects
Fat synth lead sounds
Acoustic instruments like trumpet, digeridoo, sitar, and more
Tap-able drum voices
Extra thick and juicy basses
Complete chords with filters and other effects
Space-age sound effects to send your loop beyond the cosmos

Innovative Touch-Pad ControlThis is what defines Korg's entire KAOSS PAD/KAOSSILATOR series, and what made 'em such a hit. You play the KAOSSILATOR by moving your finger around on (or tapping on) the touchpad, thereby controlling the sound. The parameters controlled by the X axis and Y axis depend on the preset (for example, a bass synth might feature pitch along the X axis and filter resonance along the Y axis).
Scale/Key ControlsIt may not have keys, but the Kaossilator can still play a hook. It lets you control a full two octaves of notes just by touching the pad. To make sure you're playing in the same mode as everyone else, you can choose what kind of scale to use, from 31 different options. You can also set the root note, including flats and sharps, so you're always in tune no matter how wacked out you get on the effects.
Adjustable BPM and Gated ArpeggiatorTo get the beat to your desired BPM, you can select a normal MIDI tempo or enter a tap tempo with your finger. The built-in Gate Arpeggiator repeatedly triggers sounds in sync with the tempo. The slider controls either the gate time or gate speed. 50 different gated arpeggiator types are included.
Loop (Phrase) RecordingThe KAOSSILATOR can record and playback phrases and patterns that you play on the touch pad--loop style. During playback, you can play along. You can even add another layer to the loop recording. This process can be repeated, adding several new layers. Recorded phrases can be up to 8 beats (2 bars of 4/4) in length.
Portable KAOSSCreate some chaos anywhere you go. The KAOSSILATOR is eminently portable, weighing in at 5.43 oz without batteries, and with dimensions of 4.17 x 5.08 x 1.14 inches. It's powered with four AA batteries, for up to about five hours of operation. You can also snag an optional AC adapter for plugging it in.
RCA/Headphone OutputsThe KAOSSILATOR features a dual RCA stereo line out, for quick connection to mixers or interfaces, and a mini headphone out, for using on the go.

Numark CDMIX 3 DJ Mix Station Review

Numark CDMIX 3 DJ Mix Station
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I am a DJ company from NJ and I just purchased this item brand new. I have used the CD Mix 2 in the past and enjoyed it for a few years before it stopped working properly. I figured I would upgrade to the CD Mix 3. I received it brand new and when I used it at my first gig, it worked great for the first 4 hours, but during the 5th hour, the right side tray would not open anymore. It would read TRAY OPEN, but remained closed. I was pissed about this!!!! When I got home from the gig I looked up the reviews on this item and found out this is very common with Numark products. I will most likely not be buying NuMark again... It's a shame because they are so light and easy to use... Just NO QUALITY!!!! DJ Tommy

I purchased this from Amazon, installed it in the rack, and played about a dozen CD on it before it stopped reading the discs. Commercial discs, home-recorded discs, Music discs, data discs, mp3 discs. . . . you name it: it won't read it. The machine just takes up space in the rack now. Unless I'm missing something, there seems to be no way to contact Stanton, or to get any Customer Assistance, or Tech Support.

Numark DJ I/O Multi Channel USB 2.0 DJ Audio Interface Review

Numark DJ I/O Multi Channel USB 2.0 DJ Audio Interface
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I use this for my portable DJ set up.I run a Windows based Laptop with Virtual DJ Pro. It separates each virtual decks into a right and left channel that I plug into a mixer via RCA cables. It provides full, clean sound with absolutely no lag. I have used this card for a couple of parties, it's small and runs off the USB port on my computer, so all I have to do plug it in and I am ready to go.
I wish it had XLR outputs though, so I could connect it directly to my JBL IONs without an external mixer. It's still a great value for the price.
