Yamaha YT250 Chromatic Autio Tunder with LCD Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I purchased a guitar package which included a digital tuner called Qwik Tune. That tuner was horrible!!! It was inconsistent and couldn't decide which note I was playing to even tune it. After much frustration, I finally gave up and bought the Yamaha YT-250 Tuner. It works GREAT for my acoustic guitar. It takes me less than a minute to tune my guitar. (and I'm a complete beginner) I love it. It is totally worth it.

Peterson TP-3 Tuning Pickup Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I have a Boss TU-12 that I use to tune acoustic guitar, acoustic bass, mandolin and ukulele. The tuner never gave me stable readings, especially with the uke.
The TP-2 solved all of those problems. It provides a very steady reading on the tuner needle and really makes accurate tuning acoustic instruments very easy. It works pretty well on my electric guitars also!
The only down side to this pickup is that the cable is a little thin and I'm not sure how it will stand up to constant stage use.

Tech 21 BSDR-DLX SansAmp Bass Driver Deluxe Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I play in 2 bands and I typically use 2 to 3 Basses on stage depending on the band (and the stage). I have always fought with having to dial in the right tone for each Bass every time I switch Basses. The Tech 21 BSDR-DLX SansAmp Bass Driver Deluxe solves that problem. I can preset the 3 main tones I need for 2 Basses and when I switch basses, it just takes a split second to hit the footswitch and I have the exact sound I need. This thing is very easy to setup and has a boatload of other features. Besides the obvious XLR Direct out, it also has a 1/4" Parallel out that is pre-tone controls so you can send your unaltered Bass signal to a Tuner or in my case, another amplifier. It also has an effects loop so you can have your effects setup and just hit one switch and you have the tone you need plus the effects you need. There's a small learning curve and you need some time for trial and error with the tone controls and the drive, level and blend controls if your customizing your own sounds. You can also just use the stock sounds that come pre-programmed and it sounds great. I've had many compliments from band mates as well as fans in the audience about my sound since using the Bass Driver Deluxe. I would definitely recommend the Tech 21 BSDR-DLX SansAmp Bass Driver Deluxe for any Bassist. I would also recommend you buy the optional Tech 21 DC2 DC2 Power Supply.

Boss FRV-1 '63 Fender Reverb Guitar Effects Pedal Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)This was the missing piece in my guitar rig. All of the other effects are enhanced by this pedal. They now have the smooth warm tone I want. I have not turned the knobs past 11 o' clock as those settings are FAR too strong for my tastes. What this pedal lacks in versatility it more than makes up for in quality! If you know the sound you want, and it is classic, (ala Jerry Garcia, Gilmore etc) this pedal will give it to you.
Worth every penny...it has boosted the value of every other component in my rig!

Korg CM-100L Clip On Contact Microphone For Tuners Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I have recently decided to attempt to tune my own piano, so I did some research and found out that the Korg CM-100 Tuner Clip was a necessity. No matter where I attach the tuner clip on my piano it picks up a clear signal and sends it to my Korg Chromatic Tuner. This product has made it very easy to tune my piano now and I never have to hire out to a professional again. The Korg CM-100 Tuner Clip along with the Korg Chromatic Tuner is a perfect combination to tune any instrument. As a music teacher, I highly recommend it.

The CM-100L Contact Microphone is a perfect compliment to any tuner that offers an audio input jack. The mic can be positioned to get a more sensitive measurement, while allowing the tuner to be positioned for easier reading.

The clip style mic is ideally suited for clipping on to the body of an instrument to pick up the tuning note directly with minimal interference from ambient sound. It can be easily clipped on to the bell of a trumpet or the headstock of a guitar, for example.
Tuning via microphone can be convenient for accurate tuning in noisy environments, and the CM-100L also lets you access Korg's Sound Back mode (available on some models), which produces a reference tone closest to the input pitch you play on your instrument.
The CM-100L jack is a 1/4-inch male phone connector.

Yamaha YT150 Guitar/ Bass Auto Tuner Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)A simple but accurate tuner - more pitch-accurate that the Korg tuners. Not as versatile - you can only do EADGBE tuning - but I found that the Korgs could slip as much as a quarter-step off true pitch, while this Yamaha stays dead-on.
