Tons of great features which I have yet to learn. Sounds very realistic, better then Casio keyboards.
The only dissapointment was that on the product discription page it does not say that keyboard comes with AC adapter. Based on the description and the suggestion from Amazon that together with the keyboard customers were buying AC adapter; I ordered AC adapter separately. Now I have 2 adapters, one of them is collecting dust and was additional expense to me for no reason. Beware! Do not order separate AC adapter with this keyboard, it already comes with one. I give 4 stars because of that, otherwise it would be 5.
I also ordered Yamaha L3C Attachable Keyboard Stand for this keyboard. Yamaha does not say it's compatible with YPT-320, but it fits nicesly. I like the fact that the stand is screwed to the bottom of the keyboard so it will not fly off the stand, like it can do from one of those X-style stands.

Expandable Music Database: Complete keyboard setups by song title. The keyboard selects an appropriate voice for the right hand melody, the correct musical style and the correct tempo. Simply call up a song title and start playing.
One Touch Setting (OTS): Provides you with a recommended voice with effects for each style. For example, on a jazz style OTS might be piano, for a Latin style it might be acoustic guitar and for a rock style it might be a guitar with overdrive etc.

(More customer reviews)I played piano on my family's old baby grand piano all my life and then I went off to college where I had no piano. I finally asked for one for my birthday and this is what my family chose for me. The sound is GREAT (the 5 main piano tones are very nice, I love 002), the keyboards have a very nice weight to them that makes them feel like a real piano (not something cheap and plasticy).
Some accessories I'd recommend for any buyers:
Headphones-- This keyboard can go really loud and if you're around others, you may want to consider headphones so you can enjoy all the sound :) If you use regular stereo-mini phones (like iPod jacks), you will need a Stereo Mini Jack (1/8") to Stereo Standard Plug (1/4").
Pedal-- This is an M-Audio keyboard so it works with just about any pedal but I really love this one:

(More customer reviews)I really don't think I could have found a better keyboard at the price of the Casio CTK3000. After much research, I decided on this keyboard because of the number of keys and the fact that it came with a stowaway stand, headphones and charger. For me, an adult who is just learning piano, it was essential for me to have headphones so I wasn't disturbing everyone in the house. The keyboard is really easy to use. I didn't even read any of the instructions. I just plugged it in and started practicing.
The stand is a little difficult to adjust and it doesn't attach as securely to the stand as I would like it to, but it's not unstable or anything. The keyboard sort of just sits on top of the stand. This is not a problem for an adult, but if you're looking at getting this keyboard for a child, then you may want to take that into account. This keyboard also works great on a regular table, as long as you have one that is at an appropriate height for practicing. I use the keyboard on the tabletop more than I use it on the stand, but I'm glad I have the stand for those times that I do need to use it.
The keyboard also comes with a little bar that you insert into the back of the keyboard to hold your sheet music or lesson book. There is a groove at the top center of the keyboard to prevent the sheet music/book from slipping. I found that the other reviews I read and the product description didn't note that the keyboard does have a space to hold music. Of course that may be something that is just standard on keyboards, but, as a piano novice, I was not aware of this.
Bottom line, I think this keyboard is excellent quality for the price and will last a beginner quite a while.

(More customer reviews)This is a very nice keyboard for home use, even more so as the price is right. The digital readout is easy to see, with nice big black letters and numbers for the important information. The sound is crisp and clear. There are many voices and rhythms to choose from. I especially like the "teach yourself to play" system with so many playalong tunes and a nice fat songbook. The folk and classical rhythms and accompaniments are WONDERFUL and not found on other keyboards. I like the piano voices in my CT640 better though. Maybe one day I will have this set up as a MIDI and can download those better voices from the Casio website into this keyboard. It's really a very nice instrument, with a headphone jack that works well, putting out a similar sound to what comes through the speakers. Because the piano voices are not the greatest, I recommend adding a sustain pedal when ordering as well as the power adapter, and, if your earphones have the little pin plugs, you will need a stereo phone plug to stereo pin plug adapter.

I like the sound quality of the keyboard output very much. I don't use many of the "tones" or various extra features, but for a good, practice keyboard with a very pleasing sound, I am quite happy with this one. The M-Audio SP-2 Sustain Pedal works very well with the keyboard and enhances the realistic sound.

(More customer reviews)To be honest I like Fender and I hold the brand in high regard. Here's the thing... I bought this exact type of Fender 212R 100 watt amp and it burned out on me after only about seven months. I could understand if I was playing at max volume and distortion, but I wasn't. Not in the entire time I played on it. I played it at moderate volume and dist. every couple of days apart and still it blew out. It truly is a great amp all the same, whether for practice or performances otherwise. I personally wouldn't say it has a long life span, but it's possible your experience will differ from mine.
Next thing I have to say: The company(s) trying to sell this product here on Amazon is pricing this at over the regular value. Big time over the regular value. If you really want this amp I'd advise you to find your nearest "Guitar Center" or other music store and try looking for it there. You can find it for a much cheaper price.

(More customer reviews)The Vox DA5 is a powerful, crisp-sounding little amp that packs a lot of punch for something this small. It's a scaled down version of the Valvetronix amp that Vox introduced a couple of years ago. This is the new breed of practice amp, which means that it's really a digital effects processor housed in an amp's cabinet. There are 11 amp simulations, along with 11 effect combinations. All of them are quite good and which ones you prefer depend on what your musical tastes are (as well as your alternatives in equipment). I prefer the cleaner and blues settings, particularly with the tremelo and reverb effects as these sound the most like a 'real' Vox combo to my ears. I was very impressed with the reverb as it sounded a lot like an actual built-in spring reverb. Digital effects usually don't replicate that sound well. I'm less happy with the wah-wah, delay, and flanger sounds because I already have great-sounding versions of those effects from Digitech. If you don't already have a box full of pedals like I do, I think you will be very happy with the Vox DA5.
As a twist, this amp has a variable power output. You can choose a minimum of 1 watt or a maximum of 5 watts. This allows you to dial up the overdrive and still have a lot of bite at lower volume, in theory. In practice, it means that you can play with good tone at very low volumes. As such this amp is ideal for apartment dwellers. At 5 watts, the amp is loud enough for small band practice (without drums), a street performer (with the microphone input), or even a suitable choice for classroom or small church functions. The amp uses C batteries or an included AC adapter which is thankfully not a wall-wart.

While the amp sounds great, I wasn't impressed with the craftsmanship. On the outside, the vinyl coating and metal grating looked very professional. On the inside, there was some very sloppy shopwork. The glue was sloppy. The walls of the amp were particle-board, not plywood. The wiring from the battery-terminals to the circuit board seemed very fragile. One of my knobs pulled off the gain pot immediately. In short, this screams "Poor Quality Control!" and makes me wonder how this amp will stand up to repeated use in multiple settings over time. I docked it a star for this. Otherwise, this is a winning combination especially for the price.
If you care about the look of the amp, Vox also has a 'classic look' version (presumably for Beatles fans), a camoflogue version (for the weekend warrior), and a pink box (for those in touch with their femininity).

Casio LK-100 Lighted Keyboard with Premium Accessories Package Review

(More customer reviews)We recently started suspecting that our 2 year old has perfect pitch, like her father and her grandmother before her. So all the little toy keyboards that she loved to play with which were all off-key were become problematic. However, it was almost impossible to find a toy keyboard that was actually in tune and not off key. We bought and returned probably a half dozen. Then, the grandparents stepped in and started laying pressure to buy her an actual keyboard. This was the result.
The keyboard has a wonderful sound and plenty of demo songs to keep young children busy. I love that it lights up and it helps illustrate the concept for children who are just learning about music and notes. The keyboard is lighter than I expected. And for the price, it was a good compromise over the toy keyboards. It's also great that it comes with a stand, headphones, and an adapter. Many of the high-end casio keybaords, for some reason, do not even include an adapter.
I do warn, however, that this is a beginner keyboard. It's good for exposing your child and just to test drive to see whether or not your kid's piano interest isn't going to be just a passing phase. However, the keyboard is not going to grow with any serious piano players. There is no touch sensitivity, which is so important to learning to play the piano adequately. And I was disappointed to see that there was no USB connectivity, which you can get with the slightly more expensive Casio models.
But, all in all, I'm satisfied that I'm getting my money's worth. But if you want more features and more piano-like sound/feel, then you'll have to pay more.

The effects are really what this product is all about. What it lacks in power, it punches you in the face with various sound distortions. Acoustic, Heavy Metal, all these sounds are packed into this Cube.
Best of all, it's small and portable! Like the vast majority, I am constrained by budget (who isn't! :P). While no professional guitarist needs this, I consider it a good buy for most of us part-timers.

(More customer reviews)Now, I have to admit that I was a bit nervous about buying a keyboard via the Internet, as I have never owned one beforehand. However, I wanted to learn how to play the piano and had heard that this was a good one to start with from several different piano teachers. Wow, this is quite the bargain. The keyboard comes with a stand, headphones (in case you don't want to run off all of your family and friends as you're learning to play), and also a power adapter. I was surprised to find out that the keyboard does not normally come with these features, (as they are traditionally sold separately), but this package comes with all of these features!
The keyboard comes with about 100 built-in songs, (a part of the Yamaha Educational Suite), which you can learn to play along with. (Personally, I have found it easier to buy the Bastien learning series books, as the songs that are included with this keyboard are in small print. This is just my experience, but since I am teaching myself to play, I have found these starter books to be a wonderful guide for an absolute beginner. I am already starting to play songs that I never dreamed possible! Wow, so cool...)
One thing that I really like about this keyboard is that it's piano voice sounds just like a high-quality grand piano. Best of all, the keyboard is very simple to use -- and not complicated.
One thing that I am disappointed in is that it does not come with a USB connection. Instead, I had to buy a MIDI-connector for $40 dollars, so I could connect it to my Mac. I wanted to record my playing, but quickly discovered that Apple's Garageband couldn't seem to work with it. Yes, I have read the instruction manual and followed its directions step-by-step, but still no results. Garageband claims that its connected, but no results.
Overall, this is a great keyboard for getting started. If you are hoping to record your music, you might want to check into a more expensive Yamaha model with a USB connector.
