It was inconsistent and couldn't decide which note I was playing to even tune it. After much frustration, I finally gave up and bought the Yamaha YT-250 Tuner. It works GREAT for my acoustic guitar. It takes me less than a minute to tune my guitar. (and I'm a complete beginner) I love it. It is totally worth it.
