(More customer reviews)This may be a convenient solution sometimes but it is a BAD one. 125v 20 Amp equipment can ONLY be plugged into a 5ALT-20R or 5-20R socket. (NEMA reference codes) Meaning if it has one vertical spade and one horizontal spade IT DOESN"T FIT IN YOUR SOCKET FOR A GOOD REASON! It doesn't matter if this adapter is a heavy gauge or not, it is being plugged into something that is not rated for 20A. This product is NOT UL listed meaning they have recognized that it is not a safe product. Don't risk damaging equipment, facilities or even worse causing injury or possibly even death. DO NOT USE THIS PRODUCT!

Digitech PSS3-120 Power Supply for GNX2, GNX3, GNX3000, GNX4, J-Station Review

(More customer reviews)I've had 2 problems with this adapter:
1. If you use this with a less stable power supply (e.g. a generator) that's not load-balanced, it likely will fail - I've blown out 3 of these under such conditions and the GNX 3000 I use it with doesn't run on batteries and there's no protection circuitry in either. Note that other power supplies with other effects pedals on the same circuit did not fail and were fine. There's no fuse in either the GNX 3000 or the power supply system (which would be a nice cost-saving measure), so you're stuck with replacing the power supply. I recommend keeping a spare on hand.
2. the wire/ wire support on the low voltage side isn't very good. If you transport it around and use it a lot, the wire will break eventually so treat it carefully.
So, compared to other power supplies on other electronics, it's inferior, but it's the only choice you have.

(More customer reviews)I have had my RP250 for a couple of years. I had no problems with the power supply until this week.
The cord became loose where the cord goes into the power supply adapter box(that plugs into the wall). I went to power up my RP250 and it flashed liked it was coming on, but ultimately had no power. I jiggled the cord (lightly) and found it to be coming loose at the box.
I have been careful with the RP250 and with the power supply. I guess I could have accidentally pulled on the cord too hard but I don't think so.
So now I'm out the extra money for a new power supply and it seems to be a bit expensive, especially considering how much I paid for the RP250 just a couple of years ago.
But, I don't have much choice. It needs power to work, and this will do that.
Digitech should consider providing a more robust (better built) power supply.

Tascam CD-VT2 CD Vocal and Instrument Trainer Review

(More customer reviews)Not everyone has a need for this but if you do, it works very well. It plays a CD well enough although if that's all you need then don't buy this. What it does well is it can either speed or slow the tempo of what is on the CD without changing the pitch, or it can change the pitch of what is on the CD without changing the tempo. It also acts as a tuner. And, it can remove center channel vocals if you want to just hear the music portion of what is on the CD.
Regarding the tempo and pitch change, it executes these tasks flawlessly.
Regarding the vocal elimination, it removes the vocals satisfactorily. I don't think any machine can do a perfect job because there's too many hitches inherent in the recording, but this one does a good enough job so that the vocals are faint enough for someone to sing over and not compete with them.
Build quality is good - it is part of the Teac company and they make quality stuff. I bought a separate power transformer for this unit so I didn't have to worry about batteries, so I have no comments regarding how long the batteries last.
The controls and functions are neatly laid out on the panel and are easy to use. The instruction book is easy to follow. This product does what I bought it for very well so I am happy with it.

(More customer reviews)I wish they made things like this when I was a kid, I wouldn't have worn so many records out playing the same passages over and over and over. Eight bars..move the needle back...... It got slightly better with cassettes, but not much. This Tascam Guitar trainer is fantastic, I can slow down fast passages and not only be sure I'm getting the notes right, but I can pick up the little nuances that are so often tips to fingerings, hammer ons, pull offs, etc... And, it stays in the same key! Not only that, if you want to learn it in a different key, you can just set the Guitar trainer to play the song in whatever key you want. You don't have to learn it in one key and then transpose in your head.
