Auralex MOPAD Monitor Isolation Pads, Charcoal, 1 pair Review

Auralex MOPAD Monitor Isolation Pads, Charcoal, 1 pair
Average Reviews:

The Pads help: but they don't isolate. You still have a lot of bass going straight into the desk. I have 2 KRK Rokit 5s on the pads and have my Mackie 824's really isolated. I bought them pads at guitar-center in Boston, not at amazon and I paid USD 30.--.
The pads are nice, but way below studio quality.

Mackie HR624mkii 6-inch2-Way Studio Monitor (Single Speaker) Review

Mackie HR624mkii 6-inch2-Way Studio Monitor (Single Speaker)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
This speaker has a very smooth response on and off axis, narrow dispersion, and virtually no diffraction. Bass seems a touch heavy, but easily adjustable on the back of the enclosure. The vertical polar response shows a rather narrow window. Not a big problem if you keep your ear level between the drivers or slightly toward the tweeter side. The tweeter's break up is sort of low at about 15kHz, but it's not really audible. It holds up well at high volumes. Build quality is incredible! That sums this up as far as I'm concerned. I'd get another of it were stolen or destroyed.

ERSS Economy Rack Speaker Stands Review

ERSS Economy Rack Speaker Stands
Average Reviews:

These went together with no issues - all the holes lined up! They are constructed from particle board so there is little recourse if you have an assembly problem and probably won't survive too many moves. As recommended, I filled them with sand to improve the damping performance and have had no problems with them.

Samson MediaOne 4A Precision-tuned Powered Studio Monitors, 4 Woofer Review

Samson MediaOne 4A Precision-tuned Powered Studio Monitors, 4 Woofer
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I run a small in home studio that I use for personal music production. I bought a pair of these monitors about a month ago along with the MediaOne 3a monitors that I run in conjunction with these speakers. The mid and high clarity is awesome. I am able to hear things in my music that I was not previously able to. it has made mixing and mastering a less frustrating process. I play and record mostly death metal and low ends are a must for this type of music. These monitors (as wells as the 3a)lack in that department. I ended buying a small sub (10 Inch Sony for $100) from BestBuy to compensate with great results. With what I paid for the entire setup ($400 for two sets of monitors, a subwoofer, and the amp to push it all) I couldn't be happier.

Auralex GRAMMA: Amp and Monitor Isolation Riser, Charcoal, Single Review

Auralex GRAMMA: Amp and Monitor Isolation Riser, Charcoal, Single
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I've been playing bass for a classic rock cover band through an Ampeg 328. I love my amp. It's not a 400-watt monster, but it suits my needs since I'm primarily a guitar player. The problem was, it sounded great in my own rooms, but our practice room is in a portable (nothing under the floor) and most stages are elevated platforms. My understanding is the floors were acting like a membrane that absorbed my sweet tone. And volume. It sucked. But no more!
I bought this thing at a local store after reading all the reviews, and because I was offered a 30-day return policy. That 30 days is going to expire and I WILL NOT give up my GRAMMA. I gigged with it the first night I had it and my amp sounded AMAZING. 150 watts through 2x8's, and I was easily heard among the drums and lead guitars using tube amps. My amp sounded like I've wanted to sound since I've been playing with this band. It was the first time I realized my amp wasn't worthless. All the guys in band were blown away at the difference it made. It truly does isolate your amp so it's only moving air, like the manufacturer intended, and gives you the sound and tone you should have. Seriously, I'm a pretty peaceful guy, but I'll fight someone who tries to take my GRAMMA.
I don't know if guitars would really benefit because of their higher frequencies, but if any speakers are hard for you to hear the GRAMMA could be a great solution that'll cost hundreds less then replacing your rig or monitors. I give it a gigging bassist's two thumbs up.

The GRAMMA (Gig and Recording, Amp and Monitor, Modulation Attenuator) is an incredibly effective patented device that's used to float an amp or loudspeaker. GRAMMA yields nearly total acoustic isolation, resulting in a purity of tone that has to be heard to be believed!

Yamaha Audiogram 6 audio interface Review

Yamaha Audiogram 6 audio interface
Average Reviews:

I use this mostly as a headphone amp connected to my computer, which it does quite well. But its also nice to have it as an interface for recording which I haven't used so much but have been able to do. It's like any USB so when you reboot, you might have to disconnect and reconnect if it conflicts with other devices. It has a nice layout.

Samson StudioDock 3i Powered Studio USB Monitors with iPod Dock Review

Samson StudioDock 3i Powered Studio USB Monitors with iPod Dock
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I bought these speakers unsure if they would be iPhone compatible - but they are! You do get the "airplane mode" warning we've all come to love from our older devices with the new phone, but once you click "no" there is no interference, sounds is fantastic & it charges the iPhone 3G as well! (Sync is accomplished immediately once I connected the USB cable to the macbook also - setup was a cinch!).
The advantage > a dock is the separation of speakers as opposed to one unit. Bass response is awesome as well, and at only 1/3 the capable volume I am very pleased.
I have been looking for an iPhone dock/speaker system to implement with my macbook as well, and this was perfect for me!
My only complaint is that the power cord is very short (5') and the speaker cable included is 24AWG, but not proprietary so it's not a big deal. The USB cable is about 5' as well, but easily replaceable with a standard style unit. The speakers were smaller than the box implied, about as tall as a DVD case, and as wide as a CD case.
Sound quality is important to me - which is why I liked the USB connection > a headphone connection. Digital sound is higher quality and you won't get any "hiss" or static with these units. I had never heard of Samson products before but I'm sold on them now; get these speakers and you will be too!
