On Stage MS7920B Amp and Bass Drum Short Microphone Stand Review

I use this stand to hold a Shure B52 kick drum mic. It is even better at holding a mic up to a guitar amp. My heavy kick drum mic will tip it over if I go to full boom extension. Works pretty well for general purpose work - just can't go to full length on the boom to go deep into the drum. 4 stars vs. 5 because of this.

On Stage SMS6000 Studio Monitor Stands Pair Review

On Stage SMS6000 Studio Monitor Stands Pair
Average Reviews:

I'm 5' 7" and when seated at my desk, these stands do not allow me to have the speakers (Rokit 8) at the proper ear level. Studio monitor speakers have a extremely directional sound and sound very different, when off by only a very small amount. I suppose I can cut the metal tubes to make them shorter.. For now I have the speakers sideways so that the tweeter is lower, which is not ideal.

Behringer XR4400 4-Channel Frequency-Selective Expander/Gate Review

Behringer XR4400 4-Channel Frequency-Selective Expander/Gate
Average Reviews:

Behringer XR4400. This device is a pretty good product. It needs a better instruction manual. The Gates are always on , no bypass to A/B the sound. I noticed the gates do color the sound a little. With that said, I am using this for gating drum mics to help control open mic feedback. The product does that but it does color the sound.

Audix DVice Drum Microphone Clamping System Review

Audix DVice Drum Microphone Clamping System
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
These are designed well as they are easy to attach to the hoops and easy to adjust. I'm not sure what microphone would stay in the mic clip because the vibrations from the drum will cause it to drop out of the clip and onto the head. I've used gaff tape to keep my sm57's in place and might see about getting some clamp type mic clips to see if that will do the trick.

The D-Vice by Audix is a super tough rim-mount mic clamping system featuring a quick release 'Sure-Grip' spring-loaded clamp and a heavy-duty gooseneck for quick and precise adjustments. Accepts standard 5/8' thread mic clips. With a low profile and a unique mounting system, the D-Vice will attach to the rim of most drums and rimmed percussion. Providing a benefit to both the player and the engineer, the low profile mount will provide precise positioning and can be attached using only 1 hand. Precision molded out of composite material, the patent pending D-Vice can easily accommodate any 5/8' microphone clip. With the introduction of the D-Vice, the drummer's concerns about microphone positioning are eliminated. Audix has subjected the D-Vice to rigorous road testing and it is rock solid. With the low profile and low mass, it is extremely convenient for the drummer and the engineer. AmericanMusical.com is an authorized dealer of Audix products.

Samson MB1 - Microphone stand - steel Review

Samson MB1 - Microphone stand - steel
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Product arrived on time within the time window seller provided. The reason I chose this stand over others is because of its weight. I wanted a bass mic stand that would not topple over with a heavier mic attached to its end. Product was in excellent shape, looks great and is pretty well constructed! The reason I say pretty well is that the piece that connects boom to stand is made of some type of plastic not steel like rest of stand... whatever.. Still works great and is very sturdy. Thank you!

As you can see in the video, this is a fairly solid mic stand. It seems like a good value for the money. Also shown in the video are the NT3 Condenser Microphone and the Blue Microphones Kiwi 20 Foot Quad Microphone Cable.
