(More customer reviews)The SM48 has got to be the world's most underrated vocal mic. It has a nice presence to it, with a frequency response which is flattering to the human voice. The absence of an output transformer gives it a crispness which is lacking even from the venerable SM58. I've compared dozens and dozens of mics side by side, dynamic and condenser, and for the human voice the SM48 is one of my favorites.
The "LC" in the model number means "less cable", meaning it doesn't come with a cable.
