This is a great compression pedal. I'm not sure if it's entirely worth the $69.95 I bought it for, but she works, and she works well at that.
From the Main Squeeze I was able to get some extremely nice compression out of even a $90 electric guitar. However, if you're going to hook it up to a guitar for sustain, do it on a nice one, or else you'll get tons of noise as it amplifies your signal. You can do an okay job of blocking out some of the noise with the EQ knob, but even then you have to turn down the sustain a bit.
I would've like the attack/release control to have two separate knobs, but even without being so it's quite functional; if you do it right it will take the hard picking out of your sounds or really boost them up. It all depends on what sound you're hoping to achieve, but this pedal can do them all.

X-Series Main Squeeze\' Compressor/SustainerThe Main Squeeze\' compressor/ sustainer pedal avoids those choppy compression release and sustain problems found on other pedals. It does this by incorporating studio-quality dbx OverEasy\' compression technology that provides near-transparent compression, and delivers long, real-sounding sustain for your guitar. And you no longer have to grit your teeth hoping a ragged release doesn\'t suddenly chop up the tail of a sustained note, or have to endure a compression that makes notes sound thin and lifeless. You even get an EQ control so you can perfectly tune your compressed sound, which is especially useful for guitar. Controls feature Level, Attack, EQ, and Sustain. Outputs feature Amp Out, Mixer Out.
