DigiTech RP250 Multi Effect Pedal Review

DigiTech RP250 Multi Effect Pedal

Lots of effects can be had with this versatile pedal, which is also easy on the budget. I'm still checking the features out. I find the settings are pushing me to play in certain directions hitherto unexplored. Very cool. The drum beats also try hard to provide variety, and yet, they remain mechanical, acting almost like a pendulum, keeping me on the beat. Good stuff for practice and for working leads around the rhythm. I still have a long way to go before the novelty of this nice piece of engineering wears off.

Quantum Leap Gypsy Review

Quantum Leap Gypsy
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Quantum Leap's Gypsy is an incredibly well done piece of sampling work. The classical guitar and violin have levels of detail that I never imagined were possible. I continue to be amazed by EastWest studios' attention to detail. Other notable instruments are the spanish steel guitar, and the trombone, which play very well and sound great. The flamenco and django guitars sound impressively realistic and the accordians are excellent. I consider this a "must have" for my core sample set.
It does require an iLok key to use, but since this is my fourth EW/QL PLAY instrument, that wasn't an issue for me.

Quantum Leap Gypsy is a collection of detailed virtual instruments capable of playing completely realistic performances - features 8 gigabytes of Solo instruments with unprecedented detail."When you pair this up with the top-notch PLAY engine, you get an unbeatable duo. There is some true character represented in Gypsy, one that I think a lot of musicians will want to inject into their compositions. Even more than that, I'm always enthralled when something inspires me to create, which is what I believe this library does beautifully." - MUSIC4GAMESQuantum Leap Gypsy - features a collection of detailed virtual instruments capable of playing completely realistic performances. This product is mostly intended for film, tv and game composers. The nylon string guitar, violin and trombone can play in both gypsy and classical styles. In the classical realm these three instruments are unparalleled in the sampling world in terms of playability, diversity and sound quality. The new king of sampled violins has arrived. The violin and trombone feature many articulations, repetitions and even true legato intervals. All of the guitars were sampled with up and down strokes, many velocities and picking styles, release trails, chords and effects.Gypsy's guitars sound incredible and were played by one of the best session guitarists in Los Angeles, David Kole. The accordions feature many different setups, all with air flow in and out samples as well as expressive samples, chords and left hand bass.Gypsy also has a very cool gypsy percussion program and two flamenco dancers foot stomps as well as traditional castanets.

I have recently decided to attempt to tune my own piano, so I did some research and found out that the Korg CM-100 Tuner Clip was a necessity. No matter where I attach the tuner clip on my piano it picks up a clear signal and sends it to my Korg Chromatic Tuner. This product has made it very easy to tune my piano now and I never have to hire out to a professional again. The Korg CM-100 Tuner Clip along with the Korg Chromatic Tuner is a perfect combination to tune any instrument. As a music teacher, I highly recommend it.

The CM-100L Contact Microphone is a perfect compliment to any tuner that offers an audio input jack. The mic can be positioned to get a more sensitive measurement, while allowing the tuner to be positioned for easier reading.

The clip style mic is ideally suited for clipping on to the body of an instrument to pick up the tuning note directly with minimal interference from ambient sound. It can be easily clipped on to the bell of a trumpet or the headstock of a guitar, for example.
Tuning via microphone can be convenient for accurate tuning in noisy environments, and the CM-100L also lets you access Korg's Sound Back mode (available on some models), which produces a reference tone closest to the input pitch you play on your instrument.
The CM-100L jack is a 1/4-inch male phone connector.
