(More customer reviews)This thing is great for me, just playing for fun and using it to get an awesome distortion sound. For the price it can't get any better, I haven't even started to explore the possibilities with the controls, but when I moved the mid knob (not the mid freq) up too high it just started whining really loudly, and when one of the cables isn't fitted into the in/output correctly it'll do the same thing (just a little bit of pressure would do it). I haven't gotten my new cables yet and being able to play with it without being plugged into an amp was a lifesaver, I just put in an adapter and some computer speakers and I was good to go. Once I started playing with it I was having to much fun and I started figuring out how to play the Star Spangled Banner, hours of endless enjoyment just playing with a sound effect XD
For somebody who doesn't play gigs, this is a perfect starter pedal, and for the price it can't be beat. It only looses the 1 star because of the occasional high-pitched screech/wail/whine that it does if the settings aren't right or the cables aren't aligned in the plugs correctly.
EDIT: I got the power cord for it today and it works great, but I wanted to add that 9V batteries are very easy to change/remove once you figure it out, just push one of the black buttons in where the pedal pivots, a long thin screwdriver or pen works great. I had some more fun with it today, it really is hours of enjoyment in one little plastic pedal!
