(More customer reviews)I first bought this pedal a while ago when it first came out to give me a nice distortion sound on my little practice amp. It did the job and i liked it... until i upgraded my amp to a 60w solid state. It sounded either too harsh or too muddy when i added bass, i didn't like it at all, so I put it away. Now I got a nice marshall tube amp and thought hey, why not try it? I LOVE it with the marshall! It gets me a really different flavor than the marshall, I still love the tube overdrive tone of course, but for more alternative-grungy stuff, this rocks. I'd have to say most importantly: if you throw this in front of a solid state amp, you probably won't like it. Also, if you play METAL, you won't like it, but if you play rock and like the DS-1 or DS-2 tones, you should try this. Also, it has a few sweet spots, especially with the gain boost and bottom boost down (bottom boost will kill you in the mix). Have fun!
