(More customer reviews)This thing does it's job. The reason I've knocked it 1 star is due to 2 issues I have. First is that the power cable is too short for my liking, and the fact that it's hard-wired to the unit is a bit inconvenient. I realize that the power cable's gauge is large and they would be worried about someone using a cheap power cable that couldn't keep up with the amperage needed, but I still would like the ability to have a modular power cable.
The other reason which is easily passed over are the lights. They work well enough, and you're able to see your equipment in the dark with them, but they use such small dim bulbs that it needs to be pretty dark for them to be useful at all. Also, the cannisters that house the bulbs aren't very smooth pulling out or pushing in. I would say these are easily looked over, however it is the only difference between the M-8x and this model. As such, I felt they should be addressed.

Rocktron 001-1302 Hush Super C Rack Noise Reduction Review

(More customer reviews)The Rocktron Hush Super C is terrible. It doesn't work. I bought it thinking that it would eliminate or at least help quiet down a loud hiss/hum when I turned on my distortion, but it didn't, and when I did manage to quiet down the hum from my distortion with it, my tone was sucked into a huge black hole!
Bottomline, this unit doesn't work. If you have a small hum from your distortion, then I can see it maybe working, but it doesn't quiet down extreme distortion and when I set it up to my liking my tone wasn't there anymore. I couldn't even hear the reverb or delay from my Lexicon reverb unit.
There have been people that have had this unit work for them, but if you're playing loud with distortion, I really don't see how. I bought mine around 1:30 and I returned it by 3:00 all within the same day!

(More customer reviews)I bought this for use with my electronic drums & amp AFTER some friends had 238 volts go through their mixing board and monitors. Luckily, nothing was damaged.
I find the volt meter to be a help when first powering up before a gig to make sure there is adequate voltage on the circuit. The front mounted dimmable lights are a plus. If you need to know what your amperage is, just look at the tags on your connected equipment.
A great addition to your equipment, and at a very affordable price!

(More customer reviews)I use the PL-8C in my bass rig. One of the major reasons I decided to get this particular Furman is because a friend of mine told me that his worked for him. I mainly wanted to get something to protect all of the pieces in my rack, but I was surprised to find how much this power conditioner augments my sound.
For one thing, there is a marked decrease in signal noise, and hum. I swear that out of left field, my bass has this punchy sound that was never there. I love how there is a outlet on the front of this Furman, as I use it to power my laptop, which I use to read music off of. Also, there are 2 different banks of outlets, so that everything isn't on one circuit. The outlets in the back are spaced far enough apart so that you can have up to 3 wall wart type AC adaptors for pedals or other rack gear, although they all seem to be powered with a universal plug these days. The LED lamps are nice and bright, will last forever, and can be dimmed! Awesome!
I never have that sinking feeling of walking into a club and seeing seriously dubious electrical wiring and outlets. As long as everything is going through the Furman, it's good to go. Your rack can get hit by lightning and the Furman would just turn off everything, and dissipate the excess energy. Afterward, you just power it up again and keep
rocking.
This installed in the rack super quick. Its a little heavy for rack gear, but nothing that a professional rackmount couldn't handle. Its also quite deep, and reaches all the way back to the rear of my rack, so that you never have a problem of finding outlets, or reading anything on the back there. There is even an attachment for a gooseneck lamp.
I found mine as a demo unit from a wholesaler, so I got a good deal. But I would gladly pay $180 if I had to replace it with no regrets.

It has a power conditioner included preventing that sound polution which is so important when you play in different places that might not have the best equipment or have a lot of lights.
It does feel a little heavy but pedals usually are a kinda heavy so that doesnt help. Despite it being heavy, it has a good handle, wheels, and is made out of hard plastic, you can't get lighter than that!
It has an ideal space for a good number of pedals, you don't need to remove the rubber from your pedals ( I saw someone say it in a previous review ). I bought some velcro and pasted it to the bottom of my pedals, adding an awesome grip for moving around and preventing the pedals from flying all over the place when traveling.
It's a great item to protect your investments.

(More customer reviews)My initial look into power conditioners was to protect my equipment then I saw that this had some line noise technology and let me tell you it kills the harshness by plugging everything nearby your equipment into it. I have a Mesa Quad preamp, Eventide Pitchfactor, Behringer Vintage Overdrive, Eleven Rack, Phillips 80 watt powered speakers, an Oyen Digital external hard drive, and a desk lamp plugged in. It is really great to have the extra room for the power supplies that are large also...and I have the front outlet if I need to plug in something else. I re recorded a song and killed eleven plugins in Pro Tools that I was using to try and get rid of the harshness. I thought it was my playing. Nope. You owe it to yourself to get one of these!
Peace of mind, and great sound! Recommended if you can't find a 1215 used or something. I found one but the guy on Craigslist wont get back with me so I got this one and I know Amazon will back it up too! I am an Amazon prime user and ordered this early Friday and got it early afternoon Saturday for $4 shipping.
