(More customer reviews)This microphone is terrific. I'm a classically trained vocalist, and I recently recorded an entire demo album using the C1 (with the Edirol UA-5 as a preamp). The microphone captured a warm, true, and vibrant sound right out of the box, and its dynamic response was excellent. In fact, I was so pleased with the raw sound that I left it entirely untouched in the mixing process. While this unit's price is extremely reasonable, this is not a great microphone "for the price"; it's simply a great microphone that happens to be priced affordably.
