(More customer reviews)In 50 years of semi-professional playing, I have owned or played through several bass amps. This little head is far superior to anything I have ever owned before. I recommend you get the bag to carry it in - too many small knobs that can be broken. Controls are simple enough to use, but when you move a control it makes a real difference in that parameter. The filter switches come in handy for solos, etc. The XLR output sends a perfect signal to the mixer. Most of the time, I use an Avatar 112 and a SWR WorkingPro 2x10T cabs together. In my collection, is a 12T GB SHUTTLE cabinet that was bought seperately. I am not very fond of the sound I get from that cabinet. I use a G&L L-2000 USA bass guitar. I own this and a Genz Benz SHENANDOAH COMPAK 300 acoustic amp. It is also very good, but only for acoustic guitar and limited microphone use.
