Good basic tone, speaker seems like it should be a bit heavier duty. Excellent controls allow an uncommon variety of sounds to be created. Because of cabinet design being notched out above controls, unprotected controls can be easily damaged when in transit. Unfortunately, my first amp arrived and one channel didn't work. I had to send it back (they don't repair these cheaper amps) and I had to wait 6 months for a replacement to arrive. Do you know what that is like to go without your amp for 6 months, never knowing when (or even if) a replacement is going to arrive? It sucked. It was a hellish wait and, because of reasons (Marshall's fault) I won't go into here, I even had to pay to ship it back to them. It would have been better to let the warranty shop fix it. They were perfectly willing, but I would have had to pay, because Marshall wouldn't pay for it to be repaired. Overall, I would say it wasn't worth buying this amp because of the warranty hassles. Instead, I wish I had bought a comparable Peavey bass amp. They sound good too, not quite as versatile. I will avoid Marshall products in the future.
