Construction-wise, these cable ends are not as sturdy as the less expensive Monster Instrument cables (Monster M ROCK-12 1/4-Inch Rock Instrument Cable (12 Feet)). Underneath the hand hold area on the jack, the wire is soldered to the jack and covered in shrink tubing. On the Rock cables, the wire is cast in plastic, a much stronger, better design. If I were looking for ruggedness only, I would purchase the Rock cables.
The hand holds on the jacks are beautiful. The wood is really pretty and looks great plugged into an acoustic guitar. They also look great with most Acoustic amplifiers, especially my Marshall AS50D in dark brown vinyl. The rubber insulation is thick and sturdy. The jacks are gold plated.
Do they sound better than other cables? Yes better than generic inexpensive cables. Do they sound different or better than the Rock cables? Probably not that much different.
With a lifetime warranty, really nice looking ends, and the good sound; these cables are worthwhile. I've posted some pictures inside the jack.
