(More customer reviews)works fine for me, it records pretty quiet without a pre-amp, but thats only on my computer. the problem with recording is that computers have a limit to how much they can amplify sound (based on strict regulations), so whenever you want to record straight from a guitar, you need to turn everything up all the way. But that doesn't have anything to do with this product.
This is very high quality, and if you are a person you can appreciate that, then this is perfect for you.
