TC Electronic NDR-1 Nova Drive All-Analog, Digitally Controlled Programmable Overdrive and Distortion Pedal Review
Average Reviews:
(More customer reviews)The new TC Electronic NDR-1 overdrive/distortion pedal works excellent with my rack gear. I have been looking for just a distortion rack,(only), and came across this pedal.
I found that I could just plug in the NDR-1 as a stomp effect, or run inline to my fx, and through a mixer with control on the line noise.
You also have control of presets that will allow you to 'tweak' the sounds of today, and adjustment knobs to help dial in personal settings and tones.
The overdrive/distortion combination works well as a single unit.
With just the touch of a button, you can change the order of output from overdrive to distortion (either combination), or as two seperate entities within itself. Along with this comes a clean bypass that can be set for any preset when called up. (Clean to distortion mixes easy with my rig.)
I gave myself a week with the NDR-1 and I am very pleased with it. I am currently looking into the midi control feature it offers. I am still finding ways to use NDR-1 over cover tunes and my own hacks.
If you are looking for an effect that will give edge to your distort or overdrive, you might give this a listen.
