(More customer reviews)This amp is great if you have some kind of baser knowledge of amps and their workings. New players are going to be drawn to the low price tag and the high wattage, but honestly if you don't know your going to get lost in the bells and whistles. There are a lot of different tones to choose from. Well, let's face it, there are a lot of knobs and buttons. You get the tone yo want, then hit a button and everything is out of whack. Read the instructions, find a couple you like and want to play with, set them, and go play.
Sounds great with any kind of guitar. I have a Gretsch 5120, an Ibanez, two Les Pauls, (One Gibson, one Ibanez), and a Fender, and this amp can scream with all of them.
The Reaper mixer is a really good program for people starting out playing with recording music. I have several friends who have been recording for years who snagged the disc off me to play with and they are all happy with the program. I haven't had any problems with speaker housing, solder holds up perfectly fine.
Over all a great prodct for the money as long as your not going to get lost in the knobs. If you're new, and you want to scream the wah wah, get a less complicated amp and a distortion pedal.
