(More customer reviews)This is a great pedal not just for providing nice chorus sounds but sound design and experimentation as well. Cranking the rate and depth knobs will give you some very throbby, pulsating sounds which you can fine-tune very easily with the very powerful hi and lo filters. I can easily imagine uses for this in ambient, noise, psychedelic and numerous other types of music.
The pedal is a bit longer and narrower than a Boss pedal but weighs about the same. Nice metal enclosure, solid feeling knobs that respond easily. It does not degrade my signal when off in any way I can hear, so this is a great cheap way to split your signal to two amps as well. The chorus sounds have a great sound and spread, and all the controls have wide ranges of good settings as opposed to narrow 'sweet spots'.
Every Johnson pedal I've bought has come with a new 9v battery inside it. It's always still wrapped in plastic and not hooked up to the pedal. They don't mention this at all in any of their product descriptions, but it's a nice thing to find.
Great bang for the buck, recommended!
